Role summary

Financial analysis and reporting

• Prepare forecasts and analyze sales, finance, and general business trends.
• Summarize special studies and recommend policies and guidelines to improve the company’s financial position.
• Analyze present and future company financial performance.
• Prepare journal-entry data and review the general ledger and financial statements for reasonableness.
• Analyze information for financial statements, ledgers, reports, and taxes.
• Prepare internal and external financial reports and coordinate special analyses with other departments.

Knowledge and abilities

• Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
• Use a Windows-based computer and related software, including Jabil software packages.
• Write simple correspondence; read and understand visual aids, instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Apply common sense to simple instructions and standardized situations.
• Perform arithmetic and compute rates, ratios, and percentages; draw and interpret graphs.
