Financial Analyst

Role overview

Duties

• Prepare journal entries, review general ledger accounts, and process expense reports.
• Perform monthly sales analysis and other requested projects and analyses.
• Review invoices for use tax; process checks, payments, and 1099s.
• Maintain accounts payable files, including W-9 information.
• Enter vendor and intercompany invoices daily in line with purchasing policies and GAAP.
• Support vendor setup and maintenance of vendor files with purchasing.
• Reconcile accounts payable accounts at month end for timely close.
• Assist with daily reconciliation and closing of open manufacturing orders; learn month-end inventory reconciliation.
• Assist with bills of materials, costs, and variance reporting; complete other tasks as requested.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge and application of computer systems.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Word and Excel; good communication skills.
• Ability to commute to Fremont, Ohio, is required.
