Overview
We are hiring a Financial Analyst to support investment analysis, banking operations, due diligence activities, and maritime market research functions.
This role is ideal for professionals with a strong finance background and understanding of the shipping industry, with experience in financial analysis, structured finance, and banking processes.
The role involves supporting investment performance tracking, lender communication, financial reporting, maritime research, and maintaining key financial and compliance documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor investment performance by reviewing balance sheets, cash flows, financial covenants, and identifying operational or financial risks.
- Conduct sector and industry analysis to assess market conditions, default risk, capital structures, covenant requirements, and investment positioning.
- Assist with banking and treasury documentation including charter agreements, financing documents, guarantees, delivery schedules, and refinancing support.
- Coordinate and maintain communication with lenders and financial institutions regarding compliance requirements and document submissions.
- Manage and maintain Virtual Data Rooms (VDR) with updated legal, technical, and corporate documentation.
- Collect and maintain KYC documentation across multiple entities and jurisdictions to support compliance requirements.
- Act as a key point of contact for financial institutions, vessel owners, brokers, and other stakeholders for administrative and operational matters.
- Maintain and update databases of industry contacts including bankers, brokers, charterers, and key stakeholders.
- Monitor shipping intelligence data including vessel valuations, market rates, historical asset prices, and market developments.
Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, CA, MBA, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Financial Analysis, Banking, Investment Research, or Maritime Finance.
- Understanding of compliance documentation requirements for lenders, insurers, and charterers within the maritime industry.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and financial modelling.
