Financial Analyst
About This Role
JOB PURPOSE / ROLE
The objective of Financial Analyst to provide accurate and data based information on company’s profitability, solvency, stability and liquidity. Research and analyze financial information to help company make well informed decisions, write reports and monitor financial movements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of financial operations and departmental activities.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, business plans, periodic forecasts, and multi-year financial plans in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Prepare, analyze, and review financial reports, including profit & loss statements, cash flow reports, and actual vs. budget performance.
- Perform variance analysis, analyze past financial results, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, investment decisions, and operational performance.
- Provide analytical insights and decision support to management based on accurate financial data and sound analysis.
- Gather, organize, and validate financial data from various departments to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting.
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment between financial data and business operations.
- Support feasibility studies, investment evaluations, and cost optimization initiatives through financial analysis and modeling.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance management frameworks.
- Analyze expenditures and financial performance, highlighting risks, discrepancies, and opportunities to senior management.
- Prepare and present financial reports and insights to management to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and information security requirements.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions and financial systems; leverage data analysis and visualization tools to enhance reporting and insights.
- Identify data patterns, trends, and anomalies to improve financial accuracy and business performance.
- Prepare documentation, reports, and process flowcharts to support financial processes and improvements.
- Stay updated on financial best practices, market trends, and emerging tools to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and improve financial outcomes.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Head of FP&A or management as per business requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
Strong analytical and data gathering skills
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience as Financial Analyst with a small to medium firm
Previous Middle East / GCC experience is preferable

- Self-starter with the ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
- Comfort dealing with ambiguity and ability to work independently
- Experience working with and presenting to senior executives
- Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills, and be comfortable interacting with executive-level management
- Strong financial modeling experience
- Working knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
- Knowledge of accounting administrative software systems
- Attention to detail and the ability to identify data patterns
- Strong analytical skills
- Expert in usage of MS-Office (MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Excel)
- Good time management skills
- Team oriented
