Role overview
Financial Analyst (Contract), non-union, with multiple positions available in the Finance division.

Financial analysis and reporting
- Analyze financial data, trends, and performance metrics.
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses; provide cost-reduction and revenue-optimization insights.
- Prepare applicable journal entries.
Budgeting and modeling
- Assist in developing budgets and financial projections; monitor results against budgets and recommend adjustments.
- Develop financial models for business scenarios, use Excel and SAP for data analysis, and identify key financial performance drivers.
Business support and risk
- Support management’s data-driven decisions and recommend investment and risk-mitigation actions.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies; assist with internal audits and risk assessments and propose financial risk mitigations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Commerce, majoring in Finance or Accounting.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, regulations, and financial statement analysis; strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- At least two years of practical training and work experience; strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, enhance and automate processes, communicate clearly, lead meetings, prioritize work, and work independently and with a team.
- Pursuing a CPA designation and knowledge of audit standards or experience working with auditors are assets.
