Role description
Full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, reporting directly to the Founder & CEO.
Own the company’s finances end to end: keep daily books accurate in Odoo and turn financial data into decisions.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile bank accounts, payment gateways, Amazon settlements, and corporate card spend daily.
- Manage ecommerce, POS, and B2B channel accounting, including invoicing and credit control.
- Manage inventory, landed cost, and COGS accounting for imported products.
- Prepare VAT and Corporate Tax filings with the external tax agent.
- Complete monthly close.
- Prepare a monthly management pack with P&L by brand and channel, rolling cash-flow forecast, margin analysis, and B2B pricing support.
Qualifications
- 4–7 years of UAE accounting experience in ecommerce, retail, distribution, or trading.
- Hands-on Odoo Accounting, Inventory, and POS experience required.
- CMA or ACCA qualification, qualified or at final stage.
- Experience building cash-flow forecasts, channel or product P&Ls, and margin models.
- Practical knowledge of UAE VAT returns and Corporate Tax requirements.
- Advanced Excel and strong understanding of inventory accounting, landed cost, and COGS for imported goods.
- Disciplined, detail-driven, and comfortable owning the finance function; able to explain results clearly to non-finance leaders.
Preferred experience and tools
- Power BI or similar reporting tools are a plus.
- Ecommerce payment-flow experience, including Shopify Payments, BNPL providers, or Amazon settlements, is preferred.
