The function covers record-to-report activities, including revenue and expense accruals, billing, statutory accounts, regulatory and statistical submissions, and financial board reporting.
Responsibilities
- Help shape the future of Controllership and Finance and contribute to identifying, designing, and implementing automation opportunities.
- Develop Python-based automation for data collection, reconciliation, reporting, validation, and controls.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Support Microsoft Fabric adoption and evaluate AI and Copilot use cases in Finance.
- Design scalable reporting and data solutions with business partners; establish automation, documentation, governance, and change-management practices.
- Simplify reporting, reduce manual work, improve controls through automation and exception monitoring, and support strategic finance transformation.
- Maintain documentation and governance for key processes and tools.
- Build relationships across Finance, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and Data; translate finance needs into technology solutions.
- Train and support finance colleagues and champion technology adoption in Controllership.
Required experience and attributes
- Experience coding in Python or using AI tools to code in Python.
- Experience developing dashboards in business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience working in a Finance function.
- Inquisitive, self-starting approach, ability to deliver change, and desire for continuous improvement.
Beneficial experience and tools
- Financial services experience is beneficial.
- A flexible approach, multitasking ability, and ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines are noted.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Workday, Copilot, Power Automate or alternative robotics, VBA, or Alteryx is advantageous but not essential.
In-office collaboration
- Employees work in the office at least four days per week and may work from home one day per week.
- Some roles may have different or additional in-office expectations, to be discussed during hiring.
