Role Summary
Ensure financial activities within the power and utilities sector, specifically downstream operations, are accurately represented in financial data models and segment reporting.
Enhance financial visibility and decision-making capabilities within the organization.
Main Responsibilities
- Capture finance-related data for the power sector, including tariff structures and reporting practices.
- Define the recording, allocation, and transfer of costs and revenues related to power, steam, and utility consumption.
- Advise on the accounting implications of power purchase agreements and their reporting requirements.
- Validate the General Chart of Accounts (GCOA), asset dimensions, and outputs related to segmentation in power reporting.
Key Requirements
- Experience in a senior finance role within a power generation, cogeneration, or utilities business.
- Proficient with tariff structures, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and utilities cost-allocation models.
- Understanding of asset-based performance reporting methodologies.
Nice to Have
- Experience with power assets that are integrated into refining or petrochemical operations.
- Familiarity with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) power sector.
Other Details
Seniority Level: Senior Manager Equivalent.
Required Experience: 12+ years in finance and 6+ years in power/utilities.
