Role overview

Leads the day-to-day finance function for Credit Line and relevant Malaa entities.

Supports the Group CFO through reliable management information, budgeting, audit coordination, team supervision, and process improvement.

Accounting, reporting, and performance

  • Own the general ledger and monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including journals, accruals, provisions, prepayments, depreciation, amortization, reclassifications, and consolidation submissions.
  • Prepare and review management accounts, statutory statements, reconciliations, cash-flow reporting, and analysis of material movements and variances.
  • Apply IFRS to financing, revenue and fees, financial instruments and ECL, leases, intangible assets, related parties, provisions, and entity-specific transactions.
  • Coordinate budgets, forecasts, long-range plans, and budget-versus-actual reporting; challenge assumptions and advise on profitability, pricing, investment, costs, capital, and resources.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs, identify adverse trends, and recommend corrective actions.

Treasury, compliance, and controls

  • Manage cash positioning, liquidity forecasts, funding requirements, payment planning, bank accounts, signatories, and treasury controls.
  • Review applicable bank, collection, disbursement, gateway, broker, custodian, portfolio, and intercompany reconciliations; investigate, age, and clear items and escalate significant risks.
  • Coordinate SAMA, CMA, and other regulatory returns with ledger reconciliations, data lineage, review evidence, and maker-checker controls.
  • Oversee VAT, withholding tax, zakat or corporate tax schedules and filings, and support regulatory and tax inspections, assessments, audits, and information requests.
  • Oversee vendor onboarding, purchase orders, invoices, expenses, payment runs, vendor data, approvals, matching, tax treatment, and payables monitoring.
  • Maintain finance policies, process narratives, risk and control matrices, close checklists, and control evidence; lead audit support and track remediation.

Systems, team, and business partnership

  • Oversee accounting or ERP systems, chart of accounts, master data, posting rules, access, interfaces, workflows, and period controls.
  • Define finance requirements for products, system enhancements, reporting tools, and integrations; participate in testing and implementation.
  • Improve close speed, reporting accuracy, audit trails, reconciliation efficiency, and scalability through standardization and automation.
  • Supervise and develop finance staff, assign work, set deadlines and quality standards, and review deliverables.
  • Partner with Operations, Credit, Risk, Compliance, Technology, Procurement, Human Resources, and other functions; communicate results and escalate material matters.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • At least 6 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including supervisory responsibility.
  • Experience in a Saudi finance company, bank, fintech, investment business, or other regulated institution is strongly preferred.
  • Experience spanning IFRS reporting, close, budgeting, regulatory reporting, treasury, tax, audit coordination, controls, and multi-entity or intercompany accounting.
  • A recognized professional qualification or progress toward SOCPA, ACCA, ACA, CPA, CMA, CIMA, or equivalent is strongly preferred.

Technical and professional competencies

  • Practical knowledge of IFRS, SAMA/CMA reporting expectations, Saudi VAT and withholding tax, and controls in regulated financial institutions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong accounting or ERP-system capability; able to prepare reconciliations, models, reports, accounting papers, policies, and regulatory responses.
  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, attention to detail, commercial awareness, and ability to lead multiple deadlines.

Key performance measures and role flexibility

Measures include timely and accurate financial, management, regulatory, and tax reporting; complete reconciliations; reliable liquidity visibility; control compliance; timely closure of findings; and improvements in efficiency, data quality, and team capability.

Responsibilities may change with business growth, regulatory developments, organizational structure, and management priorities.
