We are seeking an experienced and results-driven
Finance Manager
to join our prestigious luxury resort in
Ethiopia
.
This is an exciting opportunity for a finance leader who can drive financial performance, strengthen controls, and support business growth within a world-class hospitality environment.
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the development and execution of the resort's financial strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
- Partner with senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
- Develop financial models, forecasts, budgets, and long-term business plans.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Oversee the annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasting.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and business targets.
- Analyze revenue, expenses, profitability, and operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Maintain the integrity of accounting records and financial reporting systems.
- Oversee financial consolidations and reporting requirements where applicable.
Treasury & Cash Management
- Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, banking relationships, and treasury operations.
- Monitor working capital and implement strategies to optimize cash utilization.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks impacting the business.
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with Ethiopian regulations, accounting standards, tax requirements, and company policies.
- Strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks to safeguard company assets.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities as required.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Support employee development through coaching, training, and succession planning.
Process Improvement
- Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives within finance operations.
- Enhance financial systems, reporting tools, and business processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated on industry trends, hospitality finance best practices, and regulatory developments.
Qualifications & Experiance
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
- **Must be experienced outside Ethiopia in Hospitality Industry.**
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the hospitality, hotel, or resort industry.
- Strong knowledge of
International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- and their practical application in hospitality operations.
- Hands-on experience with
- Hospitality ERP systems
- such as IDS, Opera, SUN Systems, SAP, Oracle Hospitality, Micros, or similar integrated hotel management and financial platforms.
- Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of hotel financial metrics, revenue management principles, cost control, and operational finance.
- Experience in managing audits, tax compliance, internal controls, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing finance teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and business intelligence reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
