Leadership and accounting
- Run day-to-day finance and manage direct reports; deputise for the Head of Finance within documented delegated authority.
- Own month-end close, accounting quality, Board and Finance Committee reporting input, resilient controls and finance procedures.
- Prepare cash-flow forecasts and maintain liquidity, investment and reserves schedules and records.
- Oversee restricted funds, grants, donations and Gift Aid accounting, controls, reconciliations and income recognition.
- Review management accounts, balance sheet, lease, fixed asset, intercompany and trading-company accounting.
- Lead year-end, statutory accounts, audit and Charity Commission and Companies House filing delivery.
Payments and systems controls
- Own banking, treasury and BACS controls; approve payroll BACS payments after required approval and journal-preparation evidence.
- Oversee payroll reconciliations, direct debits, receivables, payables, payment preparation and bank reconciliations.
- Oversee supplier master controls and outsourced stock, waste and hospitality control data.
- Own finance system administration, chart of accounts management and finance mobilisation for new sites.
