Role Description

The Finance Manager is a full-time hybrid role based in Dubai, with a mix of on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility.

The person in this role will oversee day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, cash-flow management, and general ledger maintenance.

They will prepare budgets and forecasts, track performance against targets, and provide regular financial reports and insights to leadership.

The Finance Manager will manage month-end and year-end closing processes, coordinate with external accountants or auditors, and ensure accurate and timely compliance with local regulations and tax requirements.

They will also refine financial policies, optimize systems and tools, support vendor and contract management, and contribute to strategic decisions by providing data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency with accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end close processes.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software, spreadsheets, and financial dashboards.
  • Knowledge of UAE financial regulations, tax requirements, and compliance standards (or willingness to learn quickly).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; a relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage.
  • Experience in a purpose-driven, education, community, or startup environment is a plus, as is an interest in personal development and leadership work.
