Role Description
The Finance Manager role is a part-time, hybrid position based in Abu Dhabi, with a mix of on-site work and some flexibility to work from home.
The Finance Manager will oversee day-to-day financial operations, including managing accounts payable and receivable, cash flow, and general ledger entries related to international imports.
This role includes preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, as well as monitoring currency exchange impacts and banking activities linked to cross-border transactions.
The Finance Manager will support compliance with local regulations and internal controls, coordinate with external accountants or auditors, and provide financial insights to leadership to guide purchasing, pricing, and inventory decisions.
The role also involves implementing process improvements, supporting financial systems and tools, and collaborating closely with operations and management to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
Qualifications
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting principles and practices, including month-end closing, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
- Experience with import/export finance, international payments, and currency exchange considerations is highly beneficial.
- Comfort with finance and accounting software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools; ability to work with data in a structured and organized way.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a part-time, hybrid environment, managing time and priorities effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; a professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is an advantage.
- Experience in retail, fashion, or international trade environments is a plus, as is familiarity with Brazilian and/or European suppliers.
- Professional working proficiency in English; additional language skills (such as Portuguese or Italian) are beneficial.
