Role Description
The Finance Manager will oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, cash flow management, expense tracking, and financial reporting to support She Counts’ community and program activities.
This part-time hybrid role is based in Abu Dhabi, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.
Key responsibilities
include preparing monthly and annual financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and maintaining accurate financial records in line with relevant standards and organizational policies.
The Finance Manager will help develop and monitor budgets for initiatives, events, and partnerships, ensuring funds are used efficiently and transparently.
The role will also involve supporting compliance with local regulations, coordinating with external auditors or advisors when needed, and providing financial insights to leadership for informed decision-making.
Qualifications
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting principles and standards, with experience using accounting or bookkeeping software and spreadsheets.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle part-time responsibilities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a hybrid setting.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a small, mission-driven team and engage respectfully with a diverse community.
- Relevant professional qualification or progress toward qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) and a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in non-profit, community-based, or membership organizations, and familiarity with Abu Dhabi or UAE financial and regulatory environments, is an advantage.
