Role overview
Finance Manager role at a government-backed, fast-paced technology scale-up.
The role will help drive the finance function forward and support the directors and team.
Essential experience and skills
- Five to ten years of UAE finance experience and strong working knowledge of local regulation and tax.
- Two to three years in a start-up or scale-up environment, ideally helping build a finance function from an early stage.
- Hands-on month-end close, management reporting, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting experience.
- Practical UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance experience.
- Ability to prepare reporting for boards, investors, or government stakeholders.
- Experience implementing or improving accounting systems and financial controls.
- Strong English and communication skills.
Preferred qualification
- A recognised accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent is desirable but not necessary.
Location
- Candidates should be based in Abu Dhabi or Dubai, or able to relocate within the UAE.
Responsibilities
- Drive the finance function forward within a fast-paced technology scale-up.
- Support the directors and team on finance matters.
- Build and develop finance capabilities in an early-stage or scaling business.
