Education and experience
- Requires either a four-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or a related major, with no work experience required, or a two-year accredited university degree in the same fields plus two years of relevant experience.
Accounting operations
- Support general-ledger processes and perform account balancing, reconciliations, reporting, and discrepancy resolution.
- Coordinate accounting projects and property-wide SOP audits; prepare reports and verify information.
- Balance credit card ledgers and verify group contracts and credit references when needed.
- Monitor taxes, document profits and losses, complete period-end work, and maintain controls to safeguard assets.
- Provide guidance on accounting, budgeting, and financial resource controls.
Accounting knowledge and team leadership
- Apply return-check, gross-revenue reporting, write-off, and consolidated-deposit procedures.
- Lead accounting staff, delegate tasks, set deadlines, and maintain a productive work environment.
- Mentor, train, coach, and counsel employees, including training on accounts receivable posting.
- Resolve problems, manage conflict, communicate updates, and make collections calls when necessary.
