Finance Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and payroll review.
• Lead monthly and annual closing and prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Prepare budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial analyses, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Monitor project budgets, committed costs, actual expenditure, work in progress, and profitability.
• Coordinate with estimation, procurement, and project teams to track costs, variations, billing milestones, and project closeouts.
• Manage cash flow planning, payment schedules, receivables ageing, and collection follow-ups.
• Review supplier payments, petty cash, employee advances, and expense claims against supporting documents and approval limits.
• Oversee UAE VAT and corporate tax compliance, including accurate records, reconciliations, and timely filings.
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with banks, auditors, and tax advisers.
• Establish and improve financial policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures.
• Supervise and develop the accounting team, ensuring clear responsibilities and timely completion of deliverables.
• Provide management with practical recommendations on cost control, financial risks, and business performance.

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including experience supervising a team or managing a finance function.
• Experience in exhibitions, interior fit-out, construction, events, or a similar project-based business is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CMA qualification is a priority.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, project accounting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Practical knowledge of UAE VAT, corporate tax, and applicable accounting standards.
• Experience managing audits, implementing internal controls, and producing management reports.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in accounting or ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• UAE experience is preferred.
