The Finance Manager will run finance strategy and operations for the company as part of a lean finance team.
The role reports to the Finance Lead and works closely with company founders and the core team.
The role provides exposure to financial planning, execution, performance tracking, and financial reporting in a fast-growing startup.
Work arrangement
- The role is in-office and located in Powai, Mumbai.
What you will do
- Develop and execute strategic financial plans with the executive team and cross-functional teams.
- Provide decision support and evaluate cost-saving and revenue-generating initiatives.
- Review external financial statements and ensure compliance with US GAAP, regulations, and internal policies.
- Consolidate books under US GAAP and maintain controls for invoicing, revenue recognition, AR, and AP.
- Oversee tax and other compliance activities in India and the United States.
- Monitor performance and KPIs and present information to investors and the executive team.
What you bring
- Chartered Accountant with 2 to 4 years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience with Big4, BDO, or GT is preferred.
- Knowledge of financial reporting principles, including US GAAP.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and navigate unstructured problems.
- Ability to create SOPs for a scalable finance function.
- Hands-on user of AI tools to improve productivity.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented capabilities.
