Finance Manager

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Develop strategic financial plans and lead modeling, feasibility studies, and analysis for business expansion.
• Assess market trends, competitive positioning, and industry standards to inform business planning.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, performance metrics, and KPIs across business units.
• Lead transition and integration of HR information systems, Foodics POS, QuickBooks, and ERP platforms with IT and operations teams.
• Train teams in new systems; administer and optimize ERP functionality and support system troubleshooting.
• Review P&L statements, identify profitability improvements, and coordinate action plans and budget adherence with department heads.
• Oversee payroll and ensure timely, accurate payments in line with UAE labor regulations.
• Prepare and review financial statements; manage corporate tax planning, VAT compliance, and timely filings.
• Maintain internal controls, coordinate external audits, provide documentation, and address audit findings.
• Manage food, beverage, and operational costs and establish inventory and purchasing guidelines to reduce waste.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, forecasts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Analyze sales, revenue trends, and expenses; provide recommendations and lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• At least 5 years in senior finance or accounting roles is stated as required.
• At least 8 years of hospitality and food-and-beverage sector experience is required; 8 years of manager experience is preferred.
• CMA, CPA, or ACCA certification is preferred.
• ERP, QuickBooks, POS platforms such as Foodics, and HR information systems experience is required.
• Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, P&L management, tax compliance, payroll, UAE financial regulations, corporate tax, and VAT is required.
• Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills are required.
