Join a collaborative finance control team responsible for legal entity financial oversight and a strong control environment.
The Associate will work with multiple business lines and internal stakeholders and learn legal entity controllership end to end.
Accounting and reporting
- Perform monthly legal entity accounting and control, including close, parent/child accounting, equity pick-up, inter-entity break review, and general ledger monitoring.
- Review legal entity financial statements for completeness and accuracy; contribute to Controller's Book, financial commentary, reports, and regulatory reporting.
- Investigate and resolve issues, respond to ad hoc queries, and assist with Booking Model reviews and control-standard compliance monitoring.
Controls and improvement
- Control intercompany activity and provide variance commentary; monitor general ledger consolidation and netting.
- Participate in firmwide reporting projects, infrastructure and process improvements, and Controller initiatives.
- Liaise with finance, operations, and Legal Entity Controller stakeholders.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field, and at least 3 years of finance- or accounting-related experience.
- Strong accounting and analytical skills, including understanding and explaining income statements, balance sheets, and variances.
- Strong written and verbal communication, including executive-level presentations, and effective stakeholder liaison skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, attention to detail, multitasking, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are required.
Preferred qualification
- CPA certification is a plus.
