Summary

Responsible for assisting in all aspects of the finance operation and perform quantitative analyses at the direction of department leadership. Reports to the Director of Finance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other quantitative field in progress required, or completed preferred. Gaming experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven attention to detail.
  • Must possess excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational and analytical skills.
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Must have excellent computer skills with particular proficiency required with Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to identify problems and formulate solutions.
  • Ability to work in a highly regulated, fast-paced environment.

Licensing Requirements

  • Class III Gaming license

Essential Job Functions

Responsible for learning the basic aspects of all functions of the Finance Department

Responsible for preparation of ad hoc and regularly produced analytical reports to be assigned by the Director of Finance

Cross train in specific functions of the Finance Department to ensure coverage

Calculate and monitor Key Performance Indicators as assigned by the Director of Finance

Develop and maintain financial models that support strategic planning

Work closely with Department Leadership to understand their analytical and financial needs and communicate these with the Director of Finance

Assist in the development and maintenance of an “Instruction Manual” for all significant tasks performed in the Finance Department

Other finance and accounting related responsibilities and duties as assigned

Physical/Mental Requirements

  • Constantly talking or hearing; standing; walking; sitting; using hands to finger; handling or feeling objects, tools or controls.
  • Constantly requires specific vision abilities of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions

Exposed to risk of radiation (from computers).

Works in moderate noise level environment. Some exposure to tobacco smoke and odors.
