Finance Analyst, Asset and Liability Management

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Support ALM, interest rate risk, and liquidity risk activities through model maintenance, forecasting, scenario analysis, and governance.
• Prepare analysis and reporting on balance sheet performance, funding, liquidity, Treasury operations, and product performance.
• Validate ALM model inputs, manage assumptions and methodologies, investigate data quality issues, and ensure accurate outputs.
• Support interest rate, deposit growth, loan growth, and liquidity forecasts and scenario analysis.
• Research market and economic trends and identify improvements to reporting, automation, and analytics.

Qualifications

• Related post-secondary diploma or degree and 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• In-depth financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, and projection knowledge; working knowledge of accounting principles and financial services.
• Experience in financial services, Treasury, or ALM, with knowledge of balance sheet management, risk analysis, financial modeling, and analytics tools such as Power BI, SQL, or Python.
• Progress toward CFA, CPA, FRM, or CBV is an asset.
