About This Role
Position Overview
This technician is responsible for operating and maintaining aviation fuel filtration systems such as Filter Water Separators or Monitor Filters. They monitor differential pressure, replace filter elements when required, and ensure that the fuel delivered to aircraft remains clean and free of water or contaminants in compliance with GACA quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating and maintaining aviation fuel filtration systems
- Managing Filter Water Separators and Monitor Filters per GACA requirements
- Monitoring differential pressure across filter elements
- Replacing filter elements according to schedule or pressure readings
- Ensuring fuel is clean and free of water and contaminants per GACA standards
- Conducting filter integrity tests and validations
- Maintaining filtration equipment and housings
- Recording filtration data and maintenance activities for compliance
- Troubleshooting filtration system issues
- Coordinating filter element procurement and disposal
- Following GACA environmental and safety procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
- Technical diploma in Mechanical or Process Engineering
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in filtration or fuel systems
- Knowledge of aviation fuel filtration standards and GACA requirements
- Understanding of differential pressure monitoring
- Ability to perform filter changes safely
- Attention to detail and quality focus
- Understanding of contamination control principles
- Basic instrumentation and measurement skills
- Familiarity with GACA quality assurance procedures
