- We are FPS Logistics, a Qatar-based transport contractor executing land freight for government and defence clients across GCC corridors. and need a field coordinator based in Jeddah or Yanbu who knows the local truck operator community personally — not from a CV, from actual daily contact.
- What you will actually do:
- Source, qualify, and manage flatbed and lowbed truck operators across the Jeddah and Yanbu corridors — including movements to UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait
- Be physically present at loading sites — J King Abdullah Port Rabigh, Jeddah Islamic Port, and surrounding industrial staging areas
- Know and work the truck concentration areas where your operators park and stage — specifically: **Yanbu Industrial City truck yards off King Fahd Road, the Yanbu Al Bahr staging areas near the port gates, Jeddah's South Ring Road transport corridor, Al Khumra Industrial Area, the 3rd Ring Road freight belt, Al Samer and Al Nuzha transport yards in North Jeddah, and the Jeddah–Makkah highway staging areas used by heavy transport operators**
- Submit full driver manifests — names, passport copies, licence copies, nationalities — minimum 48 hours before loading. No exceptions
- Track trucks in real time from Yanbu/Jeddah loading through to UAE or Qatar delivery and report progress every 4 hours during active movements
- Coordinate with customs agents at Batha border (Saudi–UAE), Silla/Ghweifat crossing, and Abu Samra (Saudi–Qatar)
- Manage the backload opportunity — coordinate UAE trucks returning empty from Yanbu/Jeddah port deliveries for cost-efficient reverse movements
- Resolve loading disputes, driver refusals, weight issues, and vehicle fitness problems on the ground — you fix it, you do not wait to be told how
- Daily written report to FPS Doha operations at end of every working day
- You must have — non-negotiable:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on field experience in land transport in Jeddah or Yanbu — not office-based logistics, not freight forwarding — physically in the truck yards and at the gates
- An existing personal network of flatbed truck operators in Jeddah and Yanbu. You should be able to name operators right now who park in the South Ring Road yards, Al Khumra, or Yanbu Industrial City and who will answer your call today
- Direct experience with Saudi–UAE and Saudi–Qatar cross-border movements — you know Batha, Silla, and Abu Samra border procedures from real jobs, not from reading about them
- Experience working at government sites — experience is a significant advantage. You understand driver vetting, base access documentation, and RC permit requirements
- Experience with FASAH appointment letters and the KSA cross-border permit system
- Bilingual Arabic and English — written English required for daily reporting to Doha
- Valid Saudi driving licence and own transport — you will be in the yards, at the port gates, and at loading sites regularly
- On-call availability during active convoy movements
- You are NOT the right person if:
- Your experience is in freight forwarding, shipping, or air cargo and you have never physically coordinated a truck convoy
- You do not already know operators in the Yanbu or Jeddah market by name and phone number
- You have never stood at a base gate with a driver manifest waiting for access clearance
- You cannot write a clear progress update in English
- You are looking for an office-based or 9-to-5 role
Preferred
- Prior experience on US government, military, or defence logistics cargo in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia
- Existing relationships with operators who carry Indian-nationality drivers — this is a hard client requirement for base access
- Knowledge of the backload market — UAE trucks returning empty from Yanbu/Jeddah port runs
- Contacts at Batha and Silla border clearing agents
