Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Field Services Engineer at Agaram Industries.

The Field Services Engineer will install, commission, and maintain analytical instruments at customer sites, ensuring systems are configured and functioning according to specifications.

The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues, performing corrective and preventive maintenance, and coordinating repairs or replacements as needed.

The Field Services Engineer will provide on-site and remote technical support, train users on proper operation and basic maintenance, and document service activities, reports, and parts usage.

This position will collaborate closely with sales, applications, and product teams to address customer requirements, support demonstrations, and contribute feedback for continuous improvement of products and services.

Qualifications

  • Strong field service capabilities, including on-site installation, calibration, and commissioning of laboratory or analytical instruments.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnostics for electro-mechanical and software-related issues.
  • Experience providing technical support, both remotely and on-site, with clear, solution-focused communication.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices, including routine inspections, adjustments, and performance verification.
  • Customer service skills to manage expectations, build long-term relationships, and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Physics, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage travel, and prioritize multiple service requests.
  • Familiarity with laboratory environments, safety standards, and basic quality/compliance practices is an advantage.
  • Comfort with using service management tools, reporting systems, and basic office productivity software.
  • Prior experience servicing analytical or food testing equipment is a plus.
