Field Service Engineer (Calgary)

Role scope

Service and customer support

• Support internal and external customers with instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Assist with installations and perform instrument retrofit installations and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with technical service, logistics, applications, sales, and customers.
• Complete field service reports and follow required reporting and service-software processes.
• Manage assigned company assets and return used spare parts promptly.

Education and experience

• A Laboratory Technician, AA Electronics, Engineering Technician, or equivalent qualification is required.
• At least two years of biomedical equipment, electronics, or field service technician experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, is required.
• Some knowledge and understanding of basic immunology and immunoassay technology is stated.

Compliance, safety, and development

• Read and follow procedures required for GMP compliance and established regulatory compliance procedures.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental policies, including procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous, radioactive, laser, and infectious materials.
• Participate in required safety and skills training, complete prerequisites, and pass annual corporate assessments.
