Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Field Recorder to work on a contractor basis.

As a Field Recorder, you will apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems by capturing high-fidelity audio samples in varied environments, from urban settings to natural landscapes.

Your domain knowledge and ability to adapt to new locations and conditions will shape how AI models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input.

This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of frontier AI models and make a meaningful impact in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture high-fidelity audio samples in varied environments, from urban settings to natural landscapes, using professional-grade equipment and advanced mobile recording techniques.
  • Document and categorize ambient noises with precise metadata for project integration, ensuring seamless retrieval and analysis.
  • Adapt to new locations and conditions, ensuring consistent audio quality and clarity, and making adjustments as needed to meet project requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams by providing concise written and verbal reports, and working with team members to ensure project goals are met.
  • Manage and maintain organized audio libraries for seamless retrieval and analysis, and ensure adherence to project protocols and standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in audio recording and documentation, with a strong understanding of mobile recording techniques and professional-grade equipment.
  • Ability to work in diverse environments, from urban settings to natural landscapes, and adapt to new locations and conditions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and provide concise written and verbal reports.
  • Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage and maintain organized audio libraries for seamless retrieval and analysis.
  • Familiarity with metadata documentation and categorization, and the ability to apply this knowledge in a project setting.
