Role overview
The full-time Field Engineering Manager role is based in Doha, Qatar, with a hybrid arrangement that allows some work from home.
The role oversees field engineering on energy projects, coordinating teams and addressing technical, safety, and project-delivery needs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee field engineering activities and ensure technical excellence, safety, and compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage field issues.
- Provide technical guidance to resolve design and construction challenges.
- Plan and monitor field engineering work, review technical documentation, and support project execution schedules.
- Liaise with project managers, contractors, and clients.
- Mentor team members, support continuous improvement, and contribute to EPC/EPCC project delivery.
Qualifications
- Relevant bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, such as mechanical, civil, electrical, or a related discipline, from an accredited institution.
- Significant field engineering or engineering management experience in oil, gas, petrochemical, or renewable energy projects.
- Strong engineering management, troubleshooting, project management, program management, and team leadership skills.
- Proficiency in industry codes, standards, and EPC/EPCC workflows; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, including ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement; project or engineering management certifications are an asset.
Work arrangement
- Hybrid work arrangement with some work from home; role based in Doha, Qatar.
