FieldCore, a GE Vernova company, is seeking a Field Engineer Electrical Intern in Saudi Arabia. FieldCore is part of GE Vernova’s Gas Power One Field Services team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading power generation equipment. GE Vernova is a global energy company focused on Power, Wind, and Electrification businesses, dedicated to leading the energy transition by electrifying and decarbonizing the world.
Role Overview
The Field Engineer Electrical Intern will gain foundational knowledge of FieldCore Turbine and Generator products. This internship, requiring 0-1 years of experience, involves assisting with various engineering projects under direct supervision and guidance from experienced Field supervisors, Engineers, and Technical Field Advisors (TFAs). The role includes mandatory health and safety training prior to site visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete required environment, health, and safety training for site access.
- Undergo training to learn the fundamentals of Turbine and Generator product lines.
- Develop proficiency in using FieldCore web-based applications.
- Acquire basic technical skills and perform site work under direct instruction and supervision.
- Learn the fundamentals of project management, including scheduling, resource loading, and cost control, to support the Field Team during major overhauls.
- Assist Service Managers and Field Engineers in job planning, expediting shop repair activities, and facilitating critical parts orders for outages.
- Support the Service Manager with research and simplification projects.
- Provide remote and on-site support and communication to the FieldCore team.
- Offer general technical and administrative assistance to the Operations team.
- Receive customer calls and manage short-notice purchasing and shipping for overhaul jobs.
- Organize activities and logistics for field assignments.
- Requirements and Work Conditions
- Experience required: 0-1 years.
- Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as dictated by field assignments.
- Travel may be required for this role.
- May be assigned other duties to support FieldCore’s vision and organizational values.
