Overview
Events & Entertainment Enterprises is looking for a skilled and hands-on
FEC Technician
to join our operations team in Doha.
The role will focus on maintaining, repairing, and supporting technical systems across our Family Entertainment Centers, including arcade machines, redemption games, simulators, kiddie rides, VR units, indoor attractions, AV systems, and event equipment.
The ideal candidate should be technically strong, quick in troubleshooting, and comfortable working in a fast-paced entertainment environment where guest experience and machine uptime are a priority.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair arcade machines, simulators, redemption games, kiddie rides, VR units, and other FEC attractions.
- Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance checks.
- Replace and repair components such as sensors, buttons, joysticks, motors, power supplies, card readers, ticket dispensers, speakers, LED systems, and display screens.
- Support POS systems, game card systems, QR scanners, redemption counters, and network-connected machines.
- Maintain AV systems, PA equipment, lighting, and display screens.
- Assist with installation, setup, dismantling, and commissioning of equipment for venues, events, and seasonal activations.
- Maintain proper service records, maintenance logs, and spare parts tracking.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for spare parts, warranty claims, and technical support.
- Follow proper safety standards, cable management, and Qatar regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma, Bachelor’s degree, or certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, IT, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in an FEC, arcade, amusement park, entertainment venue, or similar technical environment.
- Strong knowledge of electronics, wiring, sensors, relays, power supplies, and basic networking.
- Experience using multimeters and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Freshers with strong technical knowledge and genuine interest in the FEC industry may also apply.
Preferred Experience
- Arcade machines, redemption systems, card systems, and gaming kiosks.
- VR games, motion simulators, laser tag, bowling, trampoline parks, or go-kart equipment.
- AV systems, lighting rigs, PA systems, and entertainment/event technical setups.
- Vendor coordination for amusement equipment brands such as Sega, Namco, Andamiro, or similar.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work calmly under operational pressure.
- Good communication with floor staff and operations teams.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and accountable.
- Physically fit for equipment handling and movement.
