Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Fashion Designer at Kashkha.
The Fashion Designer will conceptualize and develop modest fashion collections that align with Kashkha’s aesthetic and brand values.
Daily responsibilities include sketching and refining designs, selecting fabrics and trims, and collaborating closely with pattern makers, merchandisers, and production teams.
The role involves creating detailed technical specifications, overseeing fittings, and ensuring the final garments meet quality, comfort, and style standards.
The Fashion Designer will also research trends in modest fashion, monitor global market preferences, and support the development of seasonal collections and special capsules.
Qualifications
- Strong Fashion Design and Fashion skills, with a refined sense of style suitable for modest fashion and global markets.
- Knowledge of Textiles, including fabric behavior, drape, durability, and suitability for different garment types and climates.
- Experience in Embroidery and surface embellishment techniques, with the ability to integrate intricate details into contemporary designs.
- Proficiency in Fitting, including reviewing samples on various body types, providing corrections, and ensuring comfort and functionality.
- Ability to create clear technical drawings and specifications, ideally using fashion design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CLO 3D, or similar).
- Strong trend research skills, with an understanding of modest fashion markets and regional preferences.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional and multicultural remote teams.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple designs and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Textiles, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous experience in modest fashion or womenswear is an advantage.
