Factory Manager

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire manufacturing process of furniture and joinery products, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Manage, motivate, and coordinate the work of the production team, including carpenters, joiners, and other skilled workers.
• Develop and implement production schedules, workflows, and processes to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
• Monitor and control production costs, budgets, and inventory levels.
• Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
• Collaborate with design, procurement, and sales teams to meet project specifications and customer expectations.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality.
• Conduct regular training and development sessions to upgrade skills and knowledge of staff.
• Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports for management.

• Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience as a Factory Manager or similar role in furniture manufacturing or joinery.
• Strong knowledge of furniture design, carpentry, joinery techniques, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing environments.
• Ability to manage budgets, inventories, and production schedules effectively.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience with modern manufacturing technologies and tools.
• Knowledge of CAD software and other design tools is a plus.
