🌍 About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Factoring Manager to build and lead a new factoring and receivables financing business from the ground up.

This is a unique opportunity to create a high-impact financial services function within a dynamic maritime and trade ecosystem, supporting clients across shipping, offshore, logistics, and marine technology sectors.

🎯 Your Role

As Factoring Manager, you will take full ownership of launching and scaling the factoring business — from strategy and partnerships to operations and portfolio growth.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

🚀 Business Setup & Strategy

• Develop and execute the business plan for the factoring division
• Define target markets (shipping, offshore, logistics, SMEs)
• Establish operational structure, policies, and procedures
• Design factoring products (recourse/non-recourse, invoice discounting, supply chain finance)

🤝 Partnerships & Funding

• Build relationships with banks and financial institutions
• Secure funding lines and negotiate factoring agreements
• Structure tailored financing solutions for maritime and trade clients

📈 Client Acquisition & Growth

• Identify and onboard clients across shipping, offshore, and logistics sectors
• Drive commercial strategies to grow the factoring portfolio
• Collaborate with internal teams to cross-sell services

⚖️ Risk & Credit Management

• Establish credit policies and underwriting frameworks
• Assess client and debtor creditworthiness
• Monitor exposure, collections, and risk performance

⚙️ Operations & Implementation

• Set up end-to-end factoring processes (onboarding to collections)
• Implement systems for receivables tracking and reporting
• Ensure regulatory and financial compliance

💰 Financial Performance

• Own and manage P&L for the business unit
• Optimize profitability and cost of funding
• Track KPIs (DSO, portfolio turnover, default rates)

🌊 Industry Focus

• Maritime (chartering, freight, vessel services)
• Offshore (OSVs, oil & gas support)
• Trade & logistics
• Marine technology and software services

✅ What We’re Looking For

• 7–12+ years in factoring, trade finance, or banking
• Proven experience launching or scaling a factoring/lending business
• Strong network with banks and financial institutions
• Maritime, shipping, or logistics experience is highly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business (MBA is a plus)
