Support the Engineering Department's day-to-day operations through administrative tasks and engineering inventory storekeeping.
Administrative coordination
- Coordinate and distribute work orders to technical staff and handle day-to-day secretarial tasks, including typing, filing, and communications.
- Distribute documents and information promptly and arrange internal and external appointments.
- Translate incoming mail, documents, or articles as needed.
- Safekeep contracts, financial records, energy reports, and regional files.
- Follow up on monthly reporting from other regional hotels and assist with regional engineering director administration.
- Monitor stationery and photocopier use in the Engineering Department.
Inventory and storekeeping
- Ensure merchandise is stored in suitable conditions and ready for issue; verify quantities of arriving materials.
- Maintain an inventory system with identifying labels, item names, issued units, and minimum and maximum stock levels.
- Issue items against completed requisitions, record each requisition, and provide a copy to the recipient.
- Check reorder-point lists against physical quantities before submitting them to the Director of Engineering or delegate.
- Prepare monthly store inventory reports and follow accounting rules for storekeeping.
