Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Writer role based in Cairo, Egypt.

The Writer will develop clear, engaging, and accurate written content that supports Turner’s internal and external communications, including project descriptions, case studies, marketing materials, website copy, and social media content.

This role involves collaborating with project teams, subject-matter experts, and leadership to gather information, conduct interviews, and translate technical construction concepts into accessible language.

The Writer will edit and proofread documents for clarity, tone, grammar, and brand alignment, while ensuring consistency across all communication channels.

The role also includes supporting proposal and presentation content, contributing to storytelling initiatives that highlight innovation, diversity, and community impact, and maintaining organized content libraries and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and channels.
  • Experience creating content for corporate communications, marketing materials, websites, and social media.
  • Ability to research complex topics, interview subject-matter experts, and translate technical or construction-related information into clear, reader-friendly content.
  • Familiarity with content planning and basic content strategy principles, including organizing and prioritizing messages for various stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with comfort working closely with cross-functional teams and leaders at different levels.
  • Proficiency in standard office and collaboration tools (e.g., word processing, presentation software, shared drives); experience with content management systems is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Prior experience writing in the construction, engineering, architecture, or related industries is preferred but not required.
