Facade Inspector

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections of façade systems, including curtain walls, windows, cladding, skylights, balustrades, canopies, and associated façade elements.
• Review façade installation works for compliance with approved shop drawings, specifications, project requirements, and applicable codes and standards.
• Monitor workmanship quality and identify installation defects, non-conformities, and construction issues.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, site observation reports and technical assessments.
• Verify materials delivered to site against approved submittals and specifications.
• Witness and monitor façade testing activities, including water penetration, air infiltration, structural performance, and field testing.
• Coordinate with contractors, façade specialists, consultants, and clients regarding inspection findings and corrective actions.
• Follow up on rectification works and verify closure of non-conformance items.
• Assist in façade condition assessments, due diligence studies, and existing building façade investigations.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, photographs, test results, and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements during site activities.

Experience & Technical Skills

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in façade inspection, façade engineering, construction supervision, or quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of façade systems, building envelopes, curtain walls, cladding systems, glazing, and façade materials.
• Familiarity with relevant international standards, façade testing requirements, and construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and report preparation.
• Valid UAE driving license is preferred.
