White Aluminium Enterprises LLC – Fabrication Division is currently looking for a

Facade Design Team Leader

to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the façade design team and overseeing the development of façade systems such as curtain walls, cladding, glazing, and aluminium structures.

The role ensures that all designs are compliant with project specifications, structural requirements, and industry standards, while coordinating closely with clients, consultants, and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the façade design team to deliver high-quality design outputs.
  • Review architectural drawings, tender documents, and project specifications.
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed design drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings.
  • Ensure façade systems (curtain wall, cladding, glazing, skylights, etc.) meet structural, thermal, and performance requirements.
  • Perform and review design calculations including wind load, structural analysis, and thermal performance.
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and project managers.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards (ASTM, BS, EN) and project specifications.
  • Review and approve material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to design engineers and draftsmen.
  • Resolve design-related issues during fabrication and installation stages.
  • Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and installation efficiency.
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure deliverables are submitted on schedule.

Qualifications and Required Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Specialized training or certification in façade engineering is an advantage.
  • Strong expertise in façade systems (curtain walls, aluminium systems, glazing, cladding).
  • Proficiency in design software (Logikal Orgadata, AutoCAD, Revit or similar).
  • Knowledge of structural calculations and façade performance criteria.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong coordination and communication abilities.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in façade design.
  • At least 3–5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
