Duties and Responsibilities

  • ⚫ Help prepare lab session materials ⚫ Assist students during lab sessions
  • ⚫ Clean and organize lab ⚫ Correct lab manuals/classroom work
  • ⚫ Safely dispose of lab waste using autoclave

Qualifications

  • (Education/Experience/Skills)
  • ⚫ Successful completion of the lab student is assisting ⚫ Dependable and punctual⚫ Experience with lab solution/reagent making ⚫ Experience with a diverse array of lab equipment⚫ Able to work with minimal supervision
  • ⚫ Knowledge of lab safety procedures
  • Physical and Environmental Factors:
  • This position requires crouching, stooping, twisting/pivoting, reaching overhead, grasping/handling, pushing/pulling, lifting and carrying objects up to 20 lbs., repetitive motions, operating hand tools, and operating equipment or machinery to perform the essential functions. It also requires exposure to respiratory factors, chemicals, wet or humid conditions indoors, and proximity factors, as well as rare exposure to loud noise and vibrations to perform the essential functions. Protective equipment is required for some essential functions. Candidates must possess the ability to safely perform the physical work required of all duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
