**Job Description**
The **F&B Storekeeper** is responsible for the proper receiving, storage, handling, and issuance of all food and beverage stock items.
The role ensures accurate inventory control, compliance with food safety standards, and efficient stock management to support smooth kitchen and F&B operations.
Stock Receiving & Inspection
- Receive all incoming food and beverage deliveries from approved suppliers.
- Verify quantities, quality, expiry dates, and compliance with purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage, contamination, or non-conformance and report discrepancies immediately.
- Ensure proper documentation for all received items (delivery notes, invoices, GRNs).
Storage & Organization
- Store all items according to food safety standards (FIFO/FEFO principles).
- Maintain proper temperature control for chilled, frozen, and dry storage areas.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of all storage facilities.
- Label and arrange products clearly for easy identification and traceability.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock records using inventory management systems or manual logs.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excess to the supervisor.
- Conduct regular stock counts (daily, weekly, monthly) and reconcile discrepancies.
- Track expiry dates and ensure timely rotation of stock to minimize waste.
Stock Issuance & Distribution
- Issue goods to kitchen and F&B outlets based on approved requisitions.
- Ensure proper documentation for all issued items.
- Control and monitor stock movement to prevent misuse or loss.
Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all storage practices comply with HACCP and food safety standards.
- Maintain proper hygiene standards in storage areas at all times.
- Monitor pest control measures and report any issues immediately.
- Ensure safe handling of food items to prevent contamination.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, stock movement, and wastage.
- Prepare stock reports for management review.
- Report damaged, expired, or slow-moving stock.
- Assist in audits and inspections by providing required documentation.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with procurement, chefs, and operations teams regarding stock needs.
- Communicate any delays, shortages, or quality issues with suppliers or management.
- Support smooth day-to-day operations through timely stock availability.
Health & Safety
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
- Ensure safe lifting, handling, and storage of goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and prevent hazards in storage areas.
Additional Duties
- Assist in receiving deliveries during peak operational hours if required.
- Support monthly and annual inventory audits.
- Perform any other related duties assigned by management.
**Experience Level**
- 3+ year of experience in food & beverage service, preferably in fine dining or themed restaurants.
