About This Role
Overview
- What we require for a Captain at Maples Cafe:
- Act as a front-of-house supervisor.
- Direct & Supervise the the service Staff.
- Ensuring high-quality guest service, managing staff, and overseeing smooth operations in a restaurant or banquet.
- Train All new Staff to meet the standard of service and give all trainings as required.
- Manage and Control the inventory.
- make requisition and initiate in ordering as stock required.
- Ensure service teams adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Take detailed food and beverage orders, relaying them accurately to the kitchen, and ensure accurate billing.
- Ensure the restaurant station is properly stocked, cleaned, and set up prior to service.
- Actively use upselling techniques to increase revenue and enhance guest experience.
- Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software, regular order pad, or by memorization.
- Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
- Serve food and drinks.
- Deliver checks and collect bill payments
- Follow all relevant health department regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to guests.
- Hands-on experience with cash register and ordering information system (e.g. Revel POS or Toast POS)
- Basic math skills
- Attentiveness and patience for customers
Required Qualifications
- Hospitality-related qualification preferred.
- Previous experience in restaurant or hotel food service operations.
- Experience in a supervisory or team leader role is an advantage.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
- Pay: AED1,300.00 - AED1,500.00 per month
- Ability to commute/relocate:
- Dubai: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required)
