External Sales Consultant Position Overview
We’re looking for a high-performing External Sales Consultant to join our frontline sales team.
This is a dynamic, client-facing role where you will convert inbound opportunities into confirmed business through in-home and virtual consultations.
You’ll play a critical role in guiding customers through one of life’s most significant (and often emotional) events—delivering confidence, clarity, and a premium experience while securing profitable outcomes for the business.
Sales Execution
- Conduct in-home and virtual consultations with professionalism and precision
- Build trust and credibility quickly with prospective clients
- Uncover each client’s needs, timeline, motivations, and concerns
- Deliver a consultative sales approach—positioning value over price
- Identify risks and opportunities to strengthen the customer’s decision
- Confidently close business at appropriate margins
Pipeline Management
- Own your sales pipeline from initial enquiry through to booking
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date CRM records
- Drive structured progression of every opportunity with clear next steps
- Proactively re-engage stalled opportunities
- Maintain strong commercial awareness across your portfolio
Client & Operational Handover
- Provide accurate and detailed job specifications to operations
- Manage expectations transparently throughout the sales journey
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless experience
Team & Culture
- Contribute to a high-performing, collaborative sales culture
- Share insights and best practices with teammates
- Participate in coaching, feedback, and performance reviews
- Represent the business professionally in every interaction
- Complete other tasks/responsibilities as required to provide effective support to Manager, Client and Assignees
Qualifications and Preferred Skills
- Background in relocation, logistics, or service industries required
- Experience with in-home or virtual consultations required
- Proven success in a sales role with strong closing ability
- Experience managing multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Confidence handling high-value, emotionally driven decisions
- Strong commercial acumen (pricing, margin, and business impact)
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and accountable
- CRM proficiency and disciplined pipeline management
- Experience in consultative or solution-based selling
Education
- High school diploma (required)
- Degree or equivalent (preferred)

- Who has access to data?
