The Business Development Manager – Exports will expand the company's international footprint, with a strong focus on African markets.
The role centers on FMCG exports, international distribution, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across African countries and other international markets.
- Identify, appoint, and manage distributors, importers, and channel partners.
- Generate export sales, acquire new customers, negotiate commercial terms, and achieve revenue targets.
- Analyze market trends, competition, pricing, and consumer demand to identify growth opportunities.
- Coordinate export documentation, shipping, logistics, customs regulations, and payment terms with internal teams.
- Build relationships with international clients, distributors, and business partners.
- Develop country-wise business plans, sales forecasts, and strategies for sustainable growth.
Candidate profile
- 6–8 years of experience in FMCG exports; significant exposure to African markets is preferred.
- Proven experience in international business development, distributor appointment, and export sales.
- Strong understanding of export documentation, international trade regulations, logistics, and commercial negotiations.
- Experience managing international clients and achieving sales targets across multiple markets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
