EXPEDITING ASSISTANT
Role Overview
Implement structured processes to achieve on-time material delivery for oil and gas operations.
Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, manufacturers, freight forwarders, warehouse personnel, buyers, MMDG, and user departments.
Support delivery improvement for emergencies, shutdowns, and project schedules.
Serve as the primary coordination and reporting contact for shutdown-related materials and obtain resolutions for non-compliant materials (CNR).

Role purpose
Implement structured processes to achieve on-time material delivery for oil and gas operations.
Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, manufacturers, freight forwarders, warehouse personnel, buyers, MMDG, and user departments.

Serve as the primary coordination and reporting contact for shutdown-related materials and obtain resolutions for non-compliant materials (CNR).
Experience and technical knowledge
- At least 6 years of experience in purchasing and/or expediting is required; oil and gas experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of technical specifications and international standards for equipment and materials, and related certifications, is required.
- Knowledge of units of measure, INCOTERMS, and general import/export regulations is required.
Software and language
- Verbal and written English proficiency is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel, is required.
- Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
Education
- A post-secondary technical or business diploma is required.
- A university degree is preferred.

- Implement structured processes to achieve on-time material delivery for oil and gas operations.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, manufacturers, freight forwarders, warehouse personnel, buyers, MMDG, and user departments to meet delivery objectives.
- Take action to improve delivery performance and meet emergency, shutdown, and project schedules.
- Serve as the primary coordination and reporting contact for shutdown-related materials.
- Obtain resolutions for delivery of non-compliant materials (CNR).
