Role and school

Strategic direction and school development

• Set the school's aims, policies, vision, and strategic plan, with sound financial planning and measurable improvement priorities.
• Ensure school management, finance, organisation, administration, and compliance support its aims and meet ADEK and Aldar expectations.
• Use self-evaluation to develop evidence-based improvement plans, monitor outcomes, and improve school facilities.
• Promote innovation, appropriate technology, and planning that reflects the diversity and values of the UAE community.

Teaching and learning

• Ensure high-quality education, a safe and healthy learning environment, and consistent focus on pupil progress and achievement.
• Use data and benchmarks to monitor learning, establish effective teaching approaches, and set ambitious targets across school phases.
• Develop a flexible curriculum and effective assessment framework, and use emerging technologies to enhance learning.
• Review classroom practice, behaviour, and attendance; challenge underperformance and follow through on corrective action.

Staff, resources, and accountability

• Recruit, deploy, support, and develop staff; maintain effective induction and performance-management systems.
• Manage budgets, accommodation, facilities, staffing, and other resources efficiently and in line with health and safety requirements.
• Provide accurate information and advice to Aldar Education and present school performance to parents and other audiences.
• Keep parents and pupils informed about curriculum, attainment, progress, and school improvement targets.

Community and safeguarding

• Build links with parents, community organisations, local agencies, and Aldar sister schools to enrich education.
• Promote respect, challenge prejudice, and connect pupil learning with the wider UAE community.
• Cooperate with relevant agencies to protect children and promote safeguarding.

Qualifications and experience

• BA in Education, or a bachelor's degree with a relevant teaching qualification, is essential.
• A Master's in Education or Education Leadership, NPQH, or similar professional qualification is listed.
• At least 10 years of experience in education and at least 3 years of school-based leadership experience as a Principal are required.

Knowledge and skills

• Fluent written and spoken English is required for clear, effective communication.
• The role calls for attention to detail, timely follow-up, results orientation, multitasking, organisation, teamwork, and strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.
• Candidates should analyse information systematically, influence and network with cultural sensitivity, and manage change with resilience.
• Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding is required; a clean enhanced DBS or police check is required.
