Executive Operations at Garage (YC W24)

****About Garage****

Garage is a marketplace for specialized vehicles and equipment, starting with emergency vehicles.

By automating every part of the transaction—including payments, freight, paperwork, warranty, and financing—we reduce what used to take months down to minutes.

We're building the modern platform that powers commerce across America’s essential industries.

We recently closed a $13.5M Series A ($18M in total funding) from Infinity Ventures, Y Combinator, Initialized Capital, FJ Labs, and other top investors.

In less than a year, our team has already served customers in all 50 states – and we’re just getting started.

The Role

In Executive Operations at Garage, you’ll serve as a critical operational partner to the company’s leadership team, helping keep the business running smoothly while unlocking executive time and taking high-impact operational work off the team’s plate.

You’ll work closely with the CEO and broader leadership team to manage priorities, streamline coordination, and ensure day-to-day operations are executed seamlessly behind the scenes.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in fast-paced environments where no two days look the same.

You’ll play a key role across executive operations, recruiting coordination, travel logistics, team events, and onboarding as we continue scaling rapidly.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an operator looking to grow into a future Executive Operations Lead, Chief of Staff, or Business Operations role.

Because this position sits cross-functionally across the company and works closely with the executive team, you’ll gain direct exposure to how a high-growth startup is built and scaled from the inside.

****In This Role, You Will:****

  • Manage the CEO’s calendar, inbox, scheduling, and day-to-day administrative operations to ensure priorities and communications are handled efficiently
  • Help plan and coordinate company events, team offsites, external meetings, and leadership gatherings
  • Handle operational and administrative workflows including expense auditing, document coordination, and cross-functional scheduling support
  • Act as a highly reliable operational partner to leadership by proactively identifying gaps, solving problems quickly, and keeping high-priority initiatives moving forward
  • Coordinate all travel logistics for the CEO and broader team including flights, hotels, itineraries, transportation, and scheduling
  • Support recruiting operations by scheduling candidate virtual interviews, onsite interviews, and reference calls while ensuring a seamless candidate experience
  • Assist with onboarding logistics for new hires including ensuring accounts, systems access, email setup, and other operational needs are fully prepared before start dates
  • Welcome candidates and office visitors to the Garage office, provide tours of the space, and help create a warm and professional in-person experience

****We’re Looking For Someone Who:****

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment where priorities shift quickly and no two days look exactly the same
  • Is extremely organized with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks while managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Has a proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a no-task-too-small attitude and a willingness to jump in wherever needed
  • Brings a warm, positive, and highly professional demeanor when interacting with executives, candidates, customers, and external partners
  • Is highly reliable, resourceful, and an excellent communicator with strong judgement and the ability to operate independently
  • ****Qualifications****
  • 2-5+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant, Operations Associates, Chief of Staff Associate or similar role
  • Experience supporting executives or leadership teams in fast-paced startup or high-growth environments preferred
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of an organization
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgement
  • Experience coordinating calendars, travel logistics, recruiting operations, onboarding workflows, or company events preferred
  • Comfortable juggling multiple workstreams simultaneously while maintaining a high level of responsiveness and accuracy
  • Proficiency with common workplace and productivity tools including Google Workspace, Slack, calendar scheduling tools, and expense management platforms
  • You could work anywhere, so why Garage?
  • We’ve grown revenue 10x in the last year
  • We’ve raised $18M in funding (including a recent $13.5M Series A) and are well capitalized
  • We have a product loved by users– used daily to procure mission-critical equipment across the country
  • We’re punching well above our weight– everyone joining at this stage will have outsized impact
  • We have a talent dense team operating in a high performance culture, in-person in NYC
  • We’re backed by world class investors including Y Combinator, Infinity Ventures, Initialized Capital, FJ Labs, and more
  • As part of our close-knit team, you’ll be one of the first 30 employees to join alongside the founders.
  • You’ll take on meaningful responsibilities and play a key role in our next stages of growth.
  • ****More About Garage****

  • Customer focused. We love our customers. Customer success is our success.
  • Hack to success. We move fast and take big swings. We always aim for a solution that addresses 80% of the problem in 20% of the time. We make informed bets, launch quickly, and iterate.
  • ****What We Offer:****
  • Competitive salary and stock options
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance for you and all your dependents
  • Enjoy daily catered lunches at our New York City office
  • Unlimited paid time off every year
  • $100 / month wellness stipend
  • Bi-annual team offsite
  • *We realize applying for jobs can feel daunting at times.
  • We don’t expect you to check all the qualification boxes and encourage you to apply if you have experience in some of the areas.*
  • The per annum total compensation for this role is $70,000 to $110,000 USD (base + equity + benefits).
  • This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
  • We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
  • An employee’s pay position within the wage range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
  • This compensation range may also be modified in the future.
  • *As an equal-opportunity employer, we are committed to building an inclusive environment where you can be you.
  • We work hard to evaluate all employees and job applicants consistently, without regard to race, color, religion, gender, natural origin, age, disability, pregnancy, gender expression or identity, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected class.*
