Role overview

Planning and replenishment

• Create short-term replenishment plans for raw and packaging materials to prevent production loss from material shortages.
• Plan raw and packaging material supply over an 18-month horizon while meeting working-capital targets and reducing waste and write-offs.
• Define a stock policy and management approach for each SKU in the assigned portfolio.
• Identify practical issues affecting material supply and demand.

Supplier and purchasing coordination

• Monitor MRP purchase requisitions and check delivery dates, lead times, and quantities before creating purchase orders.
• Manage supplier delivery, order confirmation and receipt, exceptions, invoice discrepancies, and claims.
• Build supplier relationships and involve suppliers in supply-chain improvement exercises.
