Job Purpose
The Executive – Fuel Procurement is responsible for sourcing aviation fuel, maintaining accurate fuel pricing and supplier information, supporting operational requirements, and coordinating fuel procurement for both scheduled and time-sensitive flight operations.
This role plays a key part in ensuring competitive pricing, supplier performance, and seamless fuel support for customers worldwide.
Job Duties & Accountabilities
- Source aviation fuel from global suppliers and negotiate pricing and commercial terms to support profitability and operational requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with fuel vendors, airport authorities, into-plane agents, and industry stakeholders.
- Obtain, maintain, and regularly update airport information, fuel pricing, taxes, fees, supplier contacts, and operational data.
- Coordinate spot fuel purchases for unscheduled, urgent, and mission-critical flights, often under tight deadlines.
- Support Fuel Sales and Fuel Operations teams by providing accurate fuel quotes, supplier information, and operational guidance.
- Monitor and maintain supplier records, pricing databases, and fuel-related information systems to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
- Assist with fuel invoice reconciliations, pricing discrepancies, and vendor dispute resolution in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with Fuel Operations, Fuel Sales, Customer Relations, and Finance teams to ensure smooth execution of fuel services worldwide.
- Support ongoing supplier evaluations and identify opportunities to improve service quality, pricing competitiveness, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in any field.
- 1-2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, aviation operations, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of commercial negotiations and supplier management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of aviation operations and terminology is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Additional language skills such as Arabic, Russian, or European languages are an advantage.
