Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile receivables by matching invoices, payments, outstanding balances, and accounting records.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies across customer records, bank receipts, and books of accounts.
• Prepare receivables ageing reports and highlight overdue balances.
• Coordinate internally for payment confirmations and supporting reconciliation information.
• Assist with sales invoices, credit notes, debit notes, receipts, accounting entries, vouchers, and routine finance transactions.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare receivable schedules, reconciliation statements, and audit support documents.
• Carry out other general accounting and finance activities assigned by the reporting manager.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of accounting principles, accounts receivable, and reconciliation processes.
• Working knowledge of Excel formulas, sorting, filtering, Pivot Tables, and data management.
• Basic knowledge of Tally ERP or Tally Prime.
• Numerical and analytical ability, attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Communication and follow-up skills; ability to manage large volumes of data and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn accounting processes and take ownership of assigned tasks.

Preferred skills

• Knowledge of GST and basic taxation concepts is an advantage.
• Exposure to accounting software such as Tally Prime is preferred.
