Events Coordinator

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Handle filing, email, typing, faxing, and copying for Sales & Marketing.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, banquet event orders, and other sales documents.
• Promote brand image and assemble brochures and promotional information packages.
• Use sales techniques to maximize revenue while maintaining guest loyalty.
• Enter, retrieve, reconcile, and verify commissions, leads, and third-party information in sales-process software.
• Answer questions about property facilities and services, rates, rooms, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants, and events.
• Communicate with clients by phone and email as a point of contact.
• Follow policies, protect assets, maintain confidentiality and professional appearance, and meet quality standards.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, communicate professionally, and build positive working relationships.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested.

Preferred qualifications and physical demands

• Preferred: at least 1 year of related work experience.
• Preferred: high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• The role includes moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• No supervisory experience is specified; no license or certification is listed.
