Event Service Expert - Banquets

Position summary

Banquet setup and service

• Prepare coffee breaks, carts, and stations with food and beverages listed in the Banquet Event Order.
• Set up tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert tables or carts, and cordial carts.
• Communicate meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Clear courses, crumb tables, and respond to special event arrangements.
• Replenish buffet items to maintain consistent and fresh presentation.

Guest service and upkeep

• Monitor tableware and maintain clean, sanitary, organized service areas.
• Bus tables by removing and separating tableware, plateware, glassware, and flatware.
• Welcome guests, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests.
• Follow safety procedures, complete safety training, and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean professional appearance, protect company assets and confidential information, and support team goals.

Preferred qualifications and physical requirements

• Preferred: high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; less than 1 year of related work experience is listed.
• The role involves extended periods standing, sitting, or walking and moving up to 50 pounds without assistance or over 75 pounds with assistance.
• The role requires movement over uneven or slippery surfaces and stairs or ramps, as well as reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and hand-eye coordination.
